Pressures for performance...
For some companies, calibration and certification are not just good ideas - they are essential to staying in operation. Federal and state regulatory agencies such as FDA, USDA, TDA and other acronym-masked-regulators have established requirements that respective industries must adhere to or risk massive penalties, or even be forced to close. Consistent and timely calibration by Aldinger technicians can help assure your equipment is always in compliance with your governing regulator(s), even during those "surprise visits". However, even if you are not required to keep your equipment certified, keeping your equipment calibrated up to - or above - market standards can give your company a distinct advantage over your competitors; among other benefits.
Waste is a profit-killer. Management is always seeking ways to reduce wasted time (i.e. inefficiency), wasted materials, wasted resources and the like. Often times managers look at factors such as their staff, their processes and the capabilities of their equipment. However, most do not even consider the inefficiencies their equipment - their most relied on asset.. Imagine a scale that measures 500 times a day and consistently measures 1/2 a pound off; at a cost of $1 per pound that scale is causing $250 a day in waste, or approximately $60,000 per year. Uncalibrated, or poorly calibrated, equipment can also lead to poor inventory control, reduce product consistency, reduce product quality - even to the point of causing recalls. A routine calibration by an Aldinger technician will assure your equipment is measuring correctly, which could save you thousands of dollars at only a fraction of the cost. Can you really afford not to keep your equipment calibrated?
Like any equipment, properly maintained equipment lasts longer than neglected equipment. Aldinger technicians not only calibrate your equipment, but can identify potential problems. In most cases, they can correct them before they turn problematic, or otherwise work with our highly knowledgeable sales team to help you replace the equipment before it turns into unnecessary downtime.
