Analytical Balances Shipping

Materials Needed:

• Bubble wrap
• Tape - shipping & masking
• 2 boxes - one 1/3 larger than the other
• Shipping peanuts or other Pelspan material
• Shipping label / packing slip / purchase order

Instructions:

1. Remove pan, pan assembly and all pan-related items from stem. Wrap in small container and tape (masking) to inside front window.
2. If the balance has an all glass weighing chamber, open doors and place a piece of soft foam between doors and frame, and tape doors shut with masking tape. For balances with metal housing, open doors completely, and tape doors in open position.
3. Place balance in plastic bag to keep free of packing material, and wrap 3 times on all sides with bubble wrap.
4. Place balance in first box, allowing 3” of peanuts on all sides. Include power cord or supply in this box.
5. Place balance box in larger box, allowing 3” of peanuts on all sides.
6. Include necessary information and paperwork (name, address, telephone number and billing instructions.)
7. INSURE ALL SHIPMENTS.
