PROOF TESTING

Does your equipment withstand the force it was designed to tolerate? It may have been engineered that way, but how can you be sure? Proof testing verifies that the device or structure complies with its specification and safety requirements. Proof testing helps to prevent a failure of a device or structure which could result in an accident. Testing also provides the necessary documentation to limit liability and is affordable enough to become part of your engineering process, or to be included as part of a quality assurance program.

Proof testing is a non-destructive performance tension test to verify that a component or assembly can withstand a pre-determined load. Testing offers a host of information about your equipment. It determines the proof load of your device or structure, which is a specific load, applied in performance of the proof test and is generally 125% to 200% of the working load limit for which the device or structure was designed.

Proof testing also verifies the integrity of the components or assembly. During a safety inspection, Aldinger Company will assess your current operations, visually inspect overhead lifting and rigging assemblies (where possible), and make recommendations to improve safety for your employees.
